Ron Bower is the founder and President of the Brickpath Group, Inc., a human resources advisory and consulting firm. With over 40 years of professional experience, he brings practical knowledge, intuition, passion, and a desire to make things better to every consulting engagement.

He is an advisor and confidant to company owners, company presidents, C-suite executives and other senior leaders at a variety of companies in multiple industries. He is recognized by business leaders and colleagues as a strategic human resources professional with a passion for delivering results using a practical, no-nonsense approach to solving business problems.

Prior to starting the Brickpath Group, Ron was the Director of Talent Management at PRADCO, a nationally recognized management consulting firm; owned and operated the Bower Consulting Group for nearly four years; and spent over 27 years in “corporate life,” the last 17 years of which were in human resources leadership roles.  His early professional background in operations and technology management provides a strong foundation in people, project, process improvement, and vendor management skills.

Ron’s corporate experience spanned both publicly traded and privately held companies ranging in size from 750 to more than 20,000 employees. He developed strategies for organic corporate growth as well as growth through acquisitions and mergers. During this time he also effectively led clients and staff through multiple economic downturns, reductions in force, and complicated regulatory issues.

Ron is on the advisory boards of Century Cycles and Rust Belt Recruiting; as well as several small, growing consulting firms. Ron is an active volunteer and past board member of the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. He provides volunteer HR advisory support to The Entrepreneurs EDGE, a non-profit organization helping mid-market companies grow in value, and created and facilitates that orgzniation’s Emerging Leader Series for early-career leaders. Ron is also a member of the HR Leadership Group of Northeast Ohio and the Society of Human Resource Management.

He has authored two articles for the Journal for Corporate Recruiting Leadership: “Creating Business Results Through Employee Referrals” and “Networking for Life: Foundation for Employee Referral Results”. He has received two industry awards: the ERE Recruiting Excellence Award for Most Innovative Employee Referral Program, and the ERC NorthCoast99 Recruitment and Selection Award. Ron is a Qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® facilitator, certified in several 360° feedback and organizational development instruments, as well as the Prosci Change Management process. He is an honors graduate of the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin and a proud graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a B.S. Communication.

Ron is happily married to Wendy and the proud father of two adult sons and a very special rescued dog. When not busy working, he enjoys traveling, music, hiking, camping, kayaking, reading, Cleveland sports and playing competitive Skeeball.

Wendy Bower joined the firm in October 2016 as an Owner and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Consultant. She is widely recognized for her high energy, educational and entertaining training style.

Her primary focus is on the development and delivery of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) workshops. She delivers: Introduction to MBTI, Advanced MBTI programs for Leaders, Team Development programs for intact work groups; and specialized workshops focused on stress, parenting, couples, and children. Wendy also provides one-on-one coaching to help her clients gain an even deeper understanding of Type and its impact on their leadership and communication style. Additionally, she leads workshops on Taking the Fear out of Public Speaking, Positive Communication, Assertiveness, Forgiveness, and What Dogs Teach Us About Leadership and Life.

Prior to joining the Brickpath Group, Wendy was the founder and President of Bower Communication Consulting LLC, a successful practice that she built over 15 years. In her consulting, she provided a variety of communication workshops and skills training for businesses and non-profit organizations. Wendy used her MBTI and communication expertise to assist business professionals, students, teachers, clergy and non-profit leaders improve their communication and interpersonal interaction.

Additionally, Wendy has been a college professor for over 27 years, teaching Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, and Public Speaking. The majority of her teaching was with Baldwin-Wallace University and Kent State University. She has also taught at Lakeland Community College and Cuyahoga Community College. During her time at Baldwin-Wallace she also created and delivered a semester-long Special Topics MBTI Course and coached theater students on MBTI to assist in character development for school productions.

Prior to her teaching and consulting career, she spent five years in outside sales.

Wendy is a Qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® facilitator, received her M.A. in Communication from Kent State University and a B.S. in Communication from Ohio University.

Wendy is happily married to Ron, the proud parent of two young men and a precious senior dog. When not busy working, she is an active volunteer and advocate for animal rights, an avid reader, enjoys traveling and being outdoors, and plays in a local Skeeball league.
